SUMMARY

Cherokee Nation Management & Consulting (CNMC) is seeking a Site Manager to provide management and operation services for the Marine Corps Consolidated Storage Program (CSP) worldwide network facilities and to maintain total asset visibility.  The contract is to provide USMC personnel and authorized customers with exceptional service through facilities from which to efficiently acquire and/or turn in serviceable items of equipment.  The services provided include, but is not limited to item management, accountability, total asset visibility, warehousing, inventory management and total lifecycle management of equipment (including disposal).

CNMC has an immediate opening for an experienced public affairs specialist to support their Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center client in San Antonio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Plan, develop and execute strategic communication campaigns in support of client missions and goals.
  • Identify and research compelling news-worthy content.
  • Create presentations, background papers, fact sheets, press releases, news/feature articles, social media posts and other communication products as needed.
  • Provide event planning and management support for conferences, briefings and other events.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts and client leadership to develop messaging and respond to media and other information requests.
  • Monitor/analyze external media coverage of topics related to client mission areas.
  • Develop compelling, audience-targeted content for print and digital platforms.
  • Travel occasionally to cover key events.

 

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field
  • Experience supporting a public affairs/public relations office, news/media office or marketing office

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, copy-editing skills required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint products
  • Graphics Design and Publication Layout (Adobe InDesign) experience a plus
  • Customer-service mindset and approach to work.
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of external and internal individuals, including executive management.
  • Strong writing and public speaking skills.
  • Strong follow-through skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Department of Defense experience preferred
  •   WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • At client site

CLEARANCE

  • Must pass a federal background check to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
