The mission of the Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support is to advance US public health agency and system performance, capacity, agility, and resilience. CSTLTS serves both CDC programs and STLT health officials/agencies, helps CDC programs understand and factor into their work the characteristics, needs, challenges, and priorities of STLT health agencies and the populations they serve, and helps STLT health officials connect directly with CDC expertise, programs, services, and other support to address STLTS specific or system-wide issues.


CSTLTS is in need of a Public Health Analyst-JR for Partnership Development, Stakeholder Management, and Issues Management



Includes the following:

  • Support CSTLTS in developing and fostering partnerships through consultation, technical assistance, and training on program and project implementation with internal and external groups.
  • Research and develop responses to issues and inquiries.
  • Assist with planning, development, and execution of standard operating procedures and improvements on cross-cutting priority areas, such as project officer development, CDC field staff development, and overall grants optimization.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and report on plans and actions for/from select agency-wide workgroup activities.
  • Process travel requests and vouchers
  • Process and complete time and attendance
  • Solve administrative and travel issues that arise on a reoccurring basis
  • Serve as POC for all travel related issues
  • Update Project Plan for the Branch
  • Performs other job related duties as required.




No supervisory or management authority.



  • Bachelor’s Degree and preferably a MPH or MBA with major study in an academic field relating to the health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position and experience working in a public health setting.
  • Seven years' experience in a public health setting and previous experience with CDC CSTLTS programs, policies and procedures highly desired.
  • Previous experience with CDC and/or CSTLTS travel programs, policies, procedures, and communication activities highly required
  • CONCUR Experience Required

  • Microsoft Excel Experience Required – (Expert)

  • Work is conducted in a climate controlled office environment.
  • The environment may require prolonged sitting, prolonged standing, and light lifting up to 20 lbs.
