CNSP is looking for a Real Property Management Specialist II to work at the Department of State in the Countermeasures Directorate (C), of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security. The position requires extensive professional experience in all DOS domestic/overseas real property processes and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position may require extensive overseas and/or domestic travel;
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of DS property to include the items used and installed by field offices;
  • Proficient written/verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professional working relationships with a wide variety of government and contractor staff;
  • Proven ability to directly support overseas logistic positions
  • Proven ability to directly support overseas logisticians on the use of the Department of States system of record; Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS), the Secure-Integrated Logistics Management system (S-ILMS), Mobile Asset advantage and as directed the use of core CMMS (IBM Maximo) and mobile CMMS;
  • Assists in drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Contract file documents, Memorandums, and weekly logistics reports pertaining to the procurement handling, programing and inventory/accountability of all DS equipment deployed worldwide;
  • Assist with annual inventory reconciliation of all geographic regions of ST property using the Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS), the Secure-Integrated Logistics Management system (S-ILMS), Mobile Asset advantage and as directed the use of core CMMS (IBM Maximo) and mobile CMMS;

Supervisory/Management Authority:

  • This position will not have supervisory or management authority

 

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Business, or other related areas of study such as Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA) certification; and (3) three years’ experience in logistics management required
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Incumbent must have a valid US Passport with 1 year or more left prior to its expiration date.
  • Incumbent must hold an active and current SECRET security clearance to start; however, in addition they must also be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance. There will be no sponsorship of any type of US federal government security clearances.
  • Must be able to pass a successful drug test and a federal government background investigation.
  • This position may require extensive overseas and/or domestic travel with at least a minimum of 25% of the time.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • The incumbent will have a basic understanding of all relevant Foreign Affairs Manual and Foreign Affairs Handbook (FAM/FAH) regulations regarding property management and be able to provide relevant assistance to DS field personnel

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily performed in a secured federal office setting, a controlled office environment
  • This position will additionally require domestic/international travel; therefore, the incumbent will be in airport terminals/facilities where standing for extended periods in these and through security checkpoints may occur.
