We are seeking a Recruiter to support federally regulated research requirements to develop new medical products for the Warfighter including but not limited to support necessary to conduct clinical trials, analyze resulting data, and generate study reports.

The mission of our client, the Walter Reed Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), is to conduct biomedical research that is responsive to Department of Defense and U.S. Army requirements, and delivers lifesaving products including knowledge, technology, and medical materiel that sustain the combat effectiveness of the war fighter

Study Volunteer Recruiter

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate recruitment efforts with Senior Recruiter, Division Chief, Public Affairs Office (PAO), Operational Security (OPSEC) and other organization staff members.
  • Review and understand protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria, informed consent forms and study schedules.
  • Recruit volunteers for studies, in a professional manner, clearly and succinctly disseminate approved protocol information to prospective subjects.
  • Schedule appointments of prospective research subjects for briefings and screenings; follow-up those who did not keep appointment to either reschedule or closeout the encounter.
  • Create study specific recruitment information in privately held volunteer database.
  • Maintain/assist in daily maintenance of client Facebook & Twitter accounts
  • Create/assist in creation of both generic and study specific advertisements. Advertisements and recruiting materials must meet ethical guidelines.
  • Place and maintain ads (flyers, newspaper, web based ads, list server, etc.); cost must be within defined study budget parameters.
  • Assist in tracking advertising efforts.
  • Initiate and implement new venues of advertisement.
  • Create/assist in creation of forms, reports, etc. using Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory/Management Authority

  • This position will not have supervisory authority.

Education and/or Experience

  • At least one year recruiting experience.
  • Excellent skills with communications and personal interactions.
  • Competence with MS Office.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC)
  • Must be a US citizen

Work Environment

Work is conducted in a laboratory, office or clinical/hospital environment; possible evening and/or weekend hours. Requires work on military base with requirement for background investigation.
