The primary objective is to provide uniformed unarmed security monitoring services that include physical security and well-being of ROC employees, visitors, and others.  In addition, the work will also include protection against destruction of the ROC’s property by providing necessary visual presence, surveillance, and control of access on the property.  The security officer duties include, but are not limited to maintaining controlled access to ROC facilities, conducting security tours as required by ROC, and providing an escort for employees upon request.

Each officer must possess current First Aid and CPR certification cards.

Security officers are required to have successfully passed a pre-employment suitability investigation by the company providing the service, including substance abuse testing.
Officers must meet the following requirements concerning personal behavior:

  • Ability to understand, interpret, explain, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures
  • Possess poise, self-confidence, and an ability to make sound decisions and react quickly under stressful conditions
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing situations
  • Ability to accept and respond to instructions and direction
