Senior Application Developer,

The Department of State’s (DOS) Information Resource Management (IRM) Messaging Systems Office (MSO) is responsible for developing, implementing, operating, and supporting all Department-wide messaging systems and services. The Office manages the integration of emerging technologies with existing and planned messaging programs, and ensures messaging services are accessible to all offices of the Department and to other Federal agencies. Serving in a technology support role, MSO seeks a contractor to provide services and work products including technical systems development, integration, configuration, testing, deployment, and technical project management support for new systems and maintenance of existing ones to ensure MSO can achieve its mission.

We are seeking A Senior Application Developer to support the efforts at the Department of State.


  • Responsible for software architecture and development. 
  • Design, develop, deploy and manage enterprise search solutions for a federal government agency. 
  • Will be implementing, configuring, and updating code surrounding cross-enclave solutions. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Secret Clearance required. 
  • Experience in designing, developing, deploying, and managing enterprise search solutions for a federal government agency. 
  • Experience implementing, configuring, and updating code surrounding cross-enclave solutions. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing/developing web applications for products using .NET framework, Javascript, JQuery, JSON/Web API, SQL, TFS, Git, VB.Net, Azure Cloud, Angular, Bootstrap with Azure, Bootstrap with SQL Server, and test-driven design. 
  • Full SDLC experience utilizing Scrum/Agile methodologies
  • Ability to complete all phases of software development life cycle including analysis, design, functionality, testing and support
  • Ability to innovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfaces
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
