The Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC’s missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition and program management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide.


CNSP is looking for a professional engineer with civil engineering experience to provide contract quality assurance supporting the Air Forces’ MILCON and Facility Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) programs.  The candidate selected for this position will perform a broad range of quality assurance functions for a variety of design and construction requirements focused on government contract compliance.



The candidate selected for this position will perform technical support for AFCEC design and construction projects across the Air Force.  The candidate will provide quality assurance support implementing Air Force design and construction programs.  Support root cause assessment of delays and implementation of program level improvements.  Assist AFCEC in monitoring quality of construction programs through review of drawings, specifications, construction submittals, schedules, and other construction documentation.  Produce quality assurance reports such as contract compliance checklists and project performance reports.






Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution

Professional Engineering license in Civil

Minimum of 10 years of civil engineering design or construction experience

Experience in airfield pavement design/construction is a bonus

Proficiency reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing



Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) design and construction policies, standards, and specifications to include Facility Sustainment, Repair, Modernization, and MILCON programs preferred.

Familiarity with United Facilities Codes and United Facilities Guideline Specifications preferred.




Occasional travel to project sites required
