POSITION MARKETING

Cherokee Nation Businesses – Federal Solutions, is looking for a Senior Contract Recruiter for its businesses in the technology sector. This exciting opportunity will leverage the candidate’s experience in active and passive candidate sourcing and full-life-cycle recruitment. This six month contract assignment can easily lead to a potential full time employee position.

With a $120 million in annual revenue, 20% growth per year, approximately 200 contracts and 750+ employees, Cherokee Nation Businesses’ (CNB) group of Federal Contracting Section 8(a) companies is well positioned to deliver expertise needed to solve complex technical issues. Federal Solutions provides an array of services for 12 of the 15 cabinet-level departments and agencies – from applications and data services to cybersecurity and national defense.

SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for full life-cycle technical recruiting, including developing recruiting strategies, posting job advertisements, and screening/interviewing candidates. Responsible for attracting talent with a focus on government contracting.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Responsible for coordinating, developing and implementing recruiting strategies in order to attract and hire candidates.
  • Locate and review resumes for current and future job needs, including support to business development on Requests for Proposals (RFP).
  • Utilize the internal applicant database and all contracted search engines to find both passive and active, technical and non-technical, and, in some cases, hard to find candidates.
  • Develop and post job advertisements.
  • Conduct pre-screens and interviews to develop and understanding of the candidate’s qualifications, job preferences and minimum salary requirements; ensure candidates meeting minimum job qualifications.
  • Responsible for coordinating interviews and on-site tours; prepare and debrief candidates.
  • Review background and referral investigations for selected candidates.
  • Manage, track and maintain database of candidates.
  • Maintain regular contact with candidates to foster on-going relationships; maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future business needs.
  • Participate in the on-boarding process.
  • Perform other related job duties and responsibilities as required.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

Position will rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish duties and responsibilities, performs a variety of tasks, and works under limited supervision.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, human resources, or other related field and 7 to 10 years of experience recruiting for federal contract roles primarily with the Department of State (DOS) and/or Department of Defense (DOD) or an equivalent combination of formal education and DOS and/or DOD recruiting experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience with social media recruitment methods including a strong presence on LinkedIn.
  • Working knowledge of Monster, CareerBuilder, Indeed, DICE and other related job boards.
  • Experience with applicable applicant tracking databases.
  • Excellent written, communication and computer skills including working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products.
  • Detail oriented and well organized; ability and flexibility to multi-task and handle competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and participate as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily performed in a climate controlled office setting. May be required to travel including overnight stays.
