Senior Evaluation Specialist

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides administrative, research, and technical support for the Community Preventive Services Task Force. Support is provided by the Community Guide Branch, Division of Public Health Information Dissemination, Center for Surveillance, Epidemiology and Laboratory Services, Office of Public Health Scientific Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

They are in need of an Senior Evaluation Specialist to aid in their mission.

Responsibilities:

• The Evaluation Specialist will develop and implement an overall evaluation plan for all aspects of the Community Guide Pilot to increase throughput of Task Force recommendations and other findings, and for comparing the Pilot approaches with the Community Guide Branch’s other approaches to generating Task Force recommendations and other findings.
• The Evaluation Specialist will work with branch and division stakeholders to develop and implement this evaluation plan, including monitoring, needs assessment, process, and outcome evaluation of scientific program activities to help ensure that Branch efforts are satisfying the goals and objectives of the program.

Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience in evaluation planning, design, execution, data analysis and interpretation, report writing and monitoring.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing measurement instruments and procedures, monitoring, and evaluation of projects and programs, including developing results frameworks, logic models, indicator development, study design, and data analysis.
• Knowledge and ability to critically evaluate, synthesize results, and make recommendations for changes to either the evaluation plan and or the programmatic activities to address areas of concern.
• Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans; project monitoring and regular review of progress on performance measurements; establishing reporting processes, procedures, and reporting elements.
• Proven experience and success in qualitative and quantitative studies including content analysis, interviews, focus groups, surveys, and monitoring using existing and new monitoring and reporting systems.
• Ability to present results to varied audiences orally and in written reports; building and sustaining successful cross-team input and information from management and program staff, managing integration of evaluation processes into cross-cutting program activities.
• Bachelor's Degree Desired
