The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) provides the U.S. military, other federal agencies, and combined and allied forces with the full spectrum of logistics, acquisition and technical services. DLA sources and provides nearly 100 percent of the consumable items United States military forces need to operate.  In addition, the agency manages the reutilization of military equipment, provides catalogs and other logistics information products, and offers document automation and production services.


DLA is currently searching for an individual to fill the newly created role of SharePoint Content Manager. This is an exceptional opportunity to create tools and analyze data that improve organizational efficiencies and scalability. The person selected for this position will play a significant role in ensuring accountability of Government Provided Equipment (GPE), sensitive assets, pilferable assets, and all leased property.                                            



Includes the following:

  • Perform daily monitoring, during the work-week, for the DLA Installation Management SharePoint site. 
  • Analyze data, permissions administration, change management, continuous process improvement, generate reports, and provide statistical evaluations and technical presentations for DM-I executive level leadership.
  • Extensive use of web-based SharePoint and Structured Query Language (SQL) / Sequel Server-Client Server Architecture.
  • Serve as the main DM-I enterprise point of contact for SharePoint related technical issues.
  • Provide Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) analysis, facilities operational research analysis and inventory and review of manager’s reports and data.
  • Generate, analyze and monitor EBS reports for inventory control
  • Conduct work simplification and measurement studies and prepare operations and procedure manual to assist management in operating more efficiently.
  • Performs other job related duties as required.



  • No management of others or supervisory roles



  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline is required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience; Department of Defense (DoD) experience preferred.



  • Must be able to design, create, diagnose correct & implement changes within SharePoint web-based platform applications
  • Expert level proficiency with Access, Excel, and Power Point is also required.
  • Ability to track progress metrics and generate corresponding reports in additional to generating SQVI reports.
  • Ability to recommend actions that lie within the scope and capability of the organization.
  • Expertise to advise and provide recommendations for consideration and approval by the Lead Program Manager.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize, and prioritize responsibilities.



  • Office environment inside of a federally secured facility
