The mission of our client, the Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES), is to augment and reinforce active Marine forces in time of war, national emergency or contingency operations, provide personnel and operational tempo relief for the active forces in peacetime, and provide service to the community. As citizen-Marines, the men and women of Marine Forces Reserve will be community beacons by living the Marine Corps' story of daily service to family, community, and nation.  MARFORRES HQ oversees 275 Reserve units located in 48 states around country.  


We are seeking a SharePoint Specialist to support Facilities operations for the Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES). 



Includes the following:


  • Provide analysis, design, development, implementation and support leveraging SharePoint 2013 and Microsoft BI capabilities.
  • General troubleshooting of problems experienced by SharePoint users, and collaborative participation with the SharePoint engineers to resolve problems with the platform.
  • Experience with out-of-the-box SharePoint functionality including list/library creation and customization, permissions management, work flows and content management (e.g. SharePoint 2013 user with site administration experience and/or SharePoint 2013 power user) and critical infrastructure. Advises and provides guidance and technical assistance on routine, and emergency maintenance matters.                   
  • Create and maintain site collections, sites, site definitions, web parts, pages, workflows, content types, metadata, templates, and themes
  • Create, leverage and manage content types, site columns, lookups and templates for re-use in sites



No supervisory or management authority.



  • Masters or BS/BA and at least 5 years of experience in SharePoint administration and development. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral & written



  • Must be a self-starter with excellent time management and interaction skills and possess a willingness to learn
  • The ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Ability to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot system applications
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite is a must
  • Good problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to pass a drug screen and background check is required.

  • Experience creating SharePoint Designer workflows
  • Strong Experience using MS SharePoint, Report Builder, SQL Server, SharePoint Designer, Power BI and InfoPath.



Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment.
