System Support Technician – Ft. Leonard Wood (ID# 13297)

SUMMARY

Provide Audio Visual Systems and VTC Suites maintenance and repair to the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE) at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. The selected candidate will setup, provide maintenance and administration of information technology systems used in the Audio and Video suites at Fort Leonard Wood (FLW).

The U.S. Army VTC’s are a critical asset to the Army and the Department of Defense (DoD) for attending meetings. These systems are integral to support the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE) and Chemical, Engineer, and Military Police Corps issues in the Army.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Be able to setup, operate, administer, maintain and repair IT hardware and software (described below) that This includes IBM blade server centers, Network appliance storage area networks, servers, CISCO routers and switches, projectors, Crestron touch panels, audio visual racks and related software packages (Microsoft and Linux operating system software, Microsoft server software (Server 2008), Microsoft Office, Ghost, VMware vSphere 5, Cisco IOS and Network Appliance ONTAP software programs).

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Shall have seven years prior experience in network administration and computer system hardware repair and maintenance

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • shall possess the critical skills and experience to ensure successful completion

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Candidate must be able to pass a background check and have a clean driving record
  • Normal work week is Monday through Friday, 0700 – 1700. Weekend work may be required on a minimal basis, very rarely.
  • Candidate must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel for extended period of time to perform the work.
  • Candidate may be required to lift equipment up to 20lbs to perform work.
