Systems Administrator, Albuquerque, NM (ID#13215)

The Department of the Interior (DOI) Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Office of Historical Trust Accounting (OHTA) currently oversees approximately 55 million surface acres of land, 57 million acres of subsurface mineral interests, and $3.6 billion in assets that are held in trust or restricted status by the Federal Government on behalf of individual American Indians, Alaska Natives, and federally recognized Indian tribes. Their mission is to plan, organize, direct, and execute the historical accounting of Individual Indian Monies (IIM) accounts.

 

We are currently looking for a System Administrator to ensure call center/help desk end users receive a high level of service as measured by promptness, courteousness, accuracy, and completeness as well as coordinate and maintain a high standard in day-to-day activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all functions of the tracking system utilized
  • by OST, are implemented and operated properly
  • Will be accountable for: help desk service delivery, problem escalation and resolution, and performance monitoring; provides technical assistance for the planning, design, installation, modification, and operation of tracking system
  • Serve as a single point of coordination to ensure compliance with minimum federal information systems, security requirements, including keeping abreast of and distribution of Federal security requirements
  • Lead the preparation and submission of required documentations and deliverables pertaining to compliance with these requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in IT or a closely related field is required
  • A minimum of four (4) years relevant experience with Customer Service Resource Management (CRM) software
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with ServiceNow. Must be able to customize as neededrequired by client.
  • Proficient with SQL.
  • Experience with HP Service Manager preferred.
  • Experience with server maintenance. (Rebooting, troubleshooting, etc.)

 

  • Proficient in using automated tools, search and information retrieval systems plus knowledge and experience

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Proficiency with database systems, MS Windows, MS Office and other tracking and report systems
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and federal background check
