The IBCT Product Line’s Systems & Equipment Section (SES2) is a part of the Surface Forces Logistics Center’s Engineering Services Division for the U.S. Coast Guard and is located in Baltimore, Maryland.

We are seeking an Engineering Change Developer to join a team assisting in the database support of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Ice Breaker and Construction Tender Product Line’s engineering section with time compliant technical order/ engineering change and administrative support.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect, review, and analyze Time Compliant Technical Order (TCTO)/Engineering Change (EC) documents. The TCTO/EC document is official authorization to deviate from original vessel configuration
  • Review and track Engineering Changes through the development process and provide administrative support for review, metrics, and analysis in accordance with the most current Engineering Change Process Guide (CGTO-PG-85-00-900-S) or any subsequent directives
  • Maintain sub process information in a formal report and support sub process requirements as directed
  • Attend Meetings and Conferences as directed by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
  • Perform other job related duties as required

Supervisory/Management Authority:

  • This position does not have management or supervisory authority

Education and/or Experience:

  • A minimum of a highs school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of DoD Engineering Change Process or CG Engineering Change Process experience, or combination of the two is desired

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with the USCG CG-22 process is strongly desired
  • Familiarity with Coast Guard Logistics Information Management System (CG-LIMS) is desired
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products to develop written documents, track requirements and other project specific tasks.
  • Excellent communications skills; both oral and written
  • Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • The ability to successfully pass a federal background check and a drug screen is mandatory

Work Environment:

  • This position is in a controlled office environment in a federal establishment
