Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Utilize WAPA's DIS to manage drawing workflow and drawing numbers between the HQ Design & Engineering office and WAPA's maintenance forces.
    • Manage the reservation of new drawing numbers for HQ and Regional Offices.
    • Manage revision levels to existing drawings for HQ and Regional Offices.
    • Coordinate DIS upgrades with application maintenance personnel in WAPA's Information Technology (IT) group.
    • Coordinate DIS enhancement requests from users with application maintenance personnel in IT.
    • DIS data integrity with application maintenance personnel in IT.
    • Utilize DIS Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) information to process CIP drawing archives and assist HQ and Region users in CIP drawing management
    • Support and train WAPA personnel and DIS Regional Drawing Coordinators on DIS functionality.
    • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures manual on DIS program and upgrades.


Supervisory/Management Authority:

  • This position may have supervisory or management authority when designated

Education and/or Experience:

  • Candidates must be US Citizens.
  • Candidates will undergo a US government federal background investigation and must be able to favorable pass a drug test.
  • A high school degree or equivalent is required and an associate degree is required.
  • BA/BS or MA/MS is highly desired.
  • Additional courses in business machines, office operations, business communications, commercial photographic techniques and/or equivalent experience. 
  • Three (3) to four (4) years related work experience with engineering electronic and manual drawing management, archive files and aperture card storage/retrieval systems.
  • Experience with document management, Microsoft Office Products and Windows.

  • Proficient with Adobe Standard IX or Adobe Professional X or higher.
  • Utilizing and applying computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of document management practices is required.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Assurance principles is required.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state codes/guidelines is required.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations.


Work Environment:

This position is primarily performed in a secured federal office setting, a controlled office environment as well as working outside in a job site diverse and changing weather environment.
