The Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), headquartered in San Antonio, TX, is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC’s missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition and program management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide.

 

Responsibilities:

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Technical writing revolving around facility construction topics.
  • Experience writing agency communication initiatives, to include organizational newsletters, articles, blogs, and announcements.
  • Conference event planning for large scale ( 100+ people ) events.
  • Experience planning professional level conference events.
  • Ability to coordinate access to facilities, set up briefings, and conduct interviews in preparation of technical writing.
  • Utilizing and applying computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and audio visual setups, including Adobe Connect, for video teleconferences.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • BS in Computer Science, Business or related field.
  • 10 years of either technical writing or event planning or combination of both.
