Serve as a Visa Expediter to the Logistics Managemen

Coordinatot Center (LMC), at the U.S. Embassy Baghdad and all Mission sites. Provide administrative, travel, and Government of Iraq (GOI) relationship support to the LMC and other agencies on all matters regarding visa expediting and processes required to obtain entry and residency throughout Iraq. Responsible for monitoring the movement of visas through the GOI process and coordinating with companies, and the LMC at the U.S. Embassy, to complete all necessary requirements for visa requests and subsequent activation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates with companies at the U.S. Embassy and all Mission sites (COM and BPC) to complete bilingual visa packets required for submission to the Iraq Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Foreign Affairs

• Maintain direct daily communications with the Iraq Ministry of Interior and Ministry about visa status, process, and trouble shooting

• Monitor trending for visa approvals and denials and coordinate with LMC for proper reporting

• Coordinates with companies and the Iraq Ministry of Health for required blood draws required fo visa activation

• Responsible for transportation and submission of passports to the Iraq Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Health and their return transportation to companies at the US Embassy and all Mission sites in Iraq

• Perform basic information gathering regarding GOI visa policy including updates, challenges, deadlines, and lines of communication

• Manage negotiations with MOI regarding contract verification process during visa approval processing

• Maintain accurate records and reports as required for visas, passports, blood work, and all required documents pertaining to visa processing

• Other duties as assigned as they support visa residency processing

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of Department of State, Department of Defense, and other Government Agency contracting

• Comprehensive knowledge of visa process systems and responsibilities in Government of Iraq organizations

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree or minimum ten years of relevant experience in a relevant field

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Clearance Level Required: RSO Vetting

• American Citizenship Not Required

• Driver’s License

• English Level 3/3 or 4/4

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
