VOIP Administrator

Cherokee Nation Technologies is seeking a VOID Administrator to support our client, Department of Interior-Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Education:

  • A minimum of 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.

Certification:

  • A minimum of an Associate level certification from the network vendor. (I.e. Cisco Certified Network Associate)

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in network security solutions: Cisco ASA, or other firewall technologies.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in networking and voice communication systems, with at least 2 years’ experience specifically with Cisco VoIP systems. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices used in the design of LANs, WANs and VoIP systems.
  • Experience working with VLANs, TCP/IP networking and routing, VOIP and Communications Services, Gigabit Ethernet switching, wired and wireless Ethernet networking.
  • Must possess the skills required for project planning and management (e.g., new system design, installations, upgrades) involving multiples sites.
  • Possess an in-depth experience in the design of VoIP systems consisting of several thousand users and multiple sites.
  • Experience in writing and maintain accurate system documentation, system specifications, system requirements, project plans, presentations, correspondence, studies, reports, cost models and training materials.
  • Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers served and associated support personnel.
  • Ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical personnel.
