SUMMARY

Cherokee Nation Management and Consulting is looking for a full-time warehouse material coordinator to provide material management, inventory management, and warehouse services. The position is located in Crane, Indiana and supports our client, the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • A full range of warehousing activities, to include, but not limited to the management of equipment and  material, receiving, staging, storing, issuing, reconstitution, and inventorying material and equipment.
  • Conducts accurate packing and shipping of material.
  • Receiving and filling customer orders.
  • Picking merchandise from warehouse shelves, packing merchandise, checking packed merchandise against orders for accuracy, and keeping track of inventory and shipments.
  • Loading and unloading of materials and products as needed.
  • Organizing inventory as outlined in the warehouse inventory procedures.
  • Organize, store, and retrieve information using a wide range of techniques and database systems.
  • Track material status and projected/actual delivery dates.
  • Perform inventory counting and labeling of material; identify inventory discrepancies and reconcile discrepancies to eliminate material impacts.
  • Manage shelf-life requirements to include, but not limited to rotating supplies, replace fallen stocks, and maintenance of temporary stock location records.
  • Deliver material to the work site.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

  • This position has no supervisory or management authority.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • Minimum of 2 year experience in performing warehouse duties, such as packing, shipping, receiving, filling customer orders, picking merchandise from warehouse shelves, packing merchandise, checking packed merchandise against orders for accuracy, and keeping track of inventory and shipments.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management System for inventory management and control.
  • Experience managing workload for multiple warehouse operations.
  • Forklift Operator License or Certification.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Understanding of inventory control systems
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, such as lifting up to 30 lbs., bending and standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to operate a variety of tools
  • Experience using warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and handcarts
  • Valid Driver’s License and able to drive a 5-ton truck
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

CLEARANCE

  • Active Secret Clearance is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Warehouse environment.
