SUMMARY

The Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), headquartered in San Antonio, TX, is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC’s missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition and program management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate selected for this position will perform a broad range of digital systems interface design and data system design.  Create maps, charts, tables, graphs and graphics using GIS and related software. Conduct data analysis utilizing GIS tools to clarify and communicate spatial relationships and present results in a clear, appropriate, manner

Collaborate with clients on data collection and analysis methods.  Communicate with people from different departments to gather data then identify client requirements.  Analyze and integrate spatial data for geographic statistics to incorporate into documents and reports. Create automation scripts to process data conversion.

Review and ensure that data developed by and/or obtained by staff are accurate and documented using industry adopted metadata standards.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

  • None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, or Business or related field
  • 10 years of web and digital interface design

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience developing web and digital interface systems
  • Experience with Air Force Geospatial Information Management System
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Business Intelligence

  • Office
  • Teleworking will be considered
