CNSS is looking for an Administrative Analyst to support an opportunity at the US Census Bureau team supporting the 2020 Census Bureau budget for the Information Technology (IT) Directorate. This position will be fast paced, challenging, and constantly changing as we support the ramp up to the 2020 Census. This position will be responsible for responding to data calls, developing relationships with customers.


This position will support building out the strategy for the Census Bureau. Our clients are open to ideas and seek expertise for laying out this strategy and, ultimately, implementing this for the Bureau. This is a great opportunity to grow your expertise and help to implement real change.


The Census Bureau is located directly off the Metro line and also has free parking. It is a reverse commute (against traffic) for most people living in VA and DC and is an easy commute from many places in MD.




  • Provide office management support including coordinating across IT divisions, communicating with Census customers and assisting with IT needs or a variety of other administrative tasks. The administrative support services include but may not be limited to:
  • Support in managing and delivering information within the office.
  • Writing memos to assist in maintaining files, sending and receiving correspondence, assisting with arranging meetings and scheduling events, generate reports, transcribe minutes from meetings, create presentations and conduct research.
  • Researching and compiling material into reports, conducting basic analysis, designing layouts, and consolidating raw data into appropriate formats for presentation, including preparing document for meeting (e.g., reports, tables, charts, and graphs).
  • Handling a variety of administrative matters.



This position will not have any supervisory and/or management authority



  • Candidates must be US Citizens
  • Bachelor's degree: Business Administration, Financial and Budgetary Management, Accounting or related field
  • 3-7 Years Professional Experience



  • Knowledge of Federal contracting regulations and acquisition administration in a Federal environment
  • Experience with Federal Government contracting
  • Exception people skills
  • Knowledge of different software products and software companies
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills



The work will be performed in a controlled office environment in a secured US government federal building.
