The Business Analyst/Technical Writer shall analyze requirements and assist the client in the development of acquisition products to enhance their mission.   The Business Analyst/Technical Writer shall possess experience in acquisition and business operations support services, be familiar with government policies and procedures, and possess excellent analytical and time management skills.


Includes the following:

  • Collaborate with all members of the organization and develop acquisition related documents including Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS) and others
  • Conduct analyses of knowledge, skills, competencies, and tasks with technical subject matter experts and transform the resulting information into written documentation. 
  • Prepare and edit narratives and reports, schedules, and planning materials
  • Study services or products and translate the requirements in written documentation
  • Organize and write supporting documents for products and/or services
  • Use photographs, drawings, animations, and charts that increase the users’ understanding.
  • Gather usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers to ensure all products meet client requirements
  • Revise documents as new issues arise
  • Exercise significant discretion and judgement to ensure work products meet customer and company requirements


  • This position has no supervisory or management authority


  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field
  • Must possess a Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as a Technical Writer required
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Some background in government acquisition process required
  • Experience preparing executive level documentation and presentations


  • Background in government acquisition processes and some knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, AFARS, and other DoD procurement regulations and policies
  • Required working knowledge and experience Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, etc.)
  • Thorough understanding of diverse business processes
  • Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques


  • Work will be performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment.
  • May require occasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 lbs.
