CNT is looking to fill the position of a DevOps Support Specialist to join its Systems Team, which supports applications developers and a large user base. The selected individual will provide intermediate level (Tier II to Tier III) support and will need to have proven experience in performing Linux Administration at an expert level.  Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS.    Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and /or Rancher is highly desirable. FWS uses PostgreSQL for its database and experience with PostgreSQL; or a similar enterprise database, will be a great plus for this position.

  • Maintain excellent communication with all developers, supervisors, and staff in written and verbal form.
  • Support developer teams in projects and operations through Linux Systems Administration.
  • Possess a solid understanding of databases; particularly PostgreSQL, and experience beyond the user level
  • Collaborate with team members in the design and implementation of Docker images used to deploy a variety of applications
  • Design, implement, and maintain the container deployment platform
  • VMware maintenance and support.
  • Regular Maintenance and update tasks for servers such as Apache, Tomcat, RedHat Linux and CentOS operating systems, and software running in the environment like Artifactory, Ansible, SOLR, etc.
  • Assist with support functions for applications running in a Kubernetes environment.
  • A good understanding of Enterprise Windows systems and Active Directory is a plus.
  • Must have a basic understanding of computer networking and understand the roles of DNS, DHCP, Kerberos LDAP, etc. in an enterprise environment.
  • Monitoring the ECOS environments, addressing or assisting with operational issues, performing routine maintenance, working with developers to deliver the required environment and other duties as directed.
  • Install and configure software.
  • Document issue resolution using the Help Desk ticketing system (JIRA).
  • Help to maintain inventory of all hardware and software resources as deployed.








  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or technically related field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical experience.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include visual acuity to Colorado driver's license requirements, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee might lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 lbs.
