**ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED**

  • Compiles and maintains material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas, according to predetermined production schedules and order priorities: Reads production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine overdue material and parts and to inform supervisors of material status.
  • Locates and distributes materials to specified production areas, manually or using handcart, hand truck, or forklift.
  • Records and maintains perpetual inventory of quantity and type of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed, manually or using computer.
  • Compiles and maintains records, such as material inventory records, production records, and timecards, manually or using computer.
  • May direct INDUSTRIAL-TRUCK OPERATOR or MATERIAL HANDLER to expedite transfer of materials from stock area to production areas.
  • May examine material received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked parts.
  • May compare work ticket specifications to material used at workstations to verify appropriate assignment.
  • May drive truck to outlying work areas to check status of orders or to deliver materials.

Duties (Required)

  • Meet with Warehouse Lead daily, or as requested by Lead, to receive instruction.
  • Work with other Material Expeditors in the warehouse pulling job orders, restocking, cleaning and maintenance.
  • Once trained operate forklifts, electronic pallet jacks, and standard pallet jacks.
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times, focusing on the high level of customer service that is the MDA standard.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy at all times while pulling, restocking, and relocating items.
  • Occasionally be called on to assist on the Move/Furniture Teams as needed.
  • Assist on the MDA destruct run, rotating duty with other team members as needed
  • Be responsible while using MDA purchased tools and equipment. Perform quarterly inventory of equipment to ensure all items are accounted for. Report any lost, missing, or broken tools/equipment to Team Lead or Warehouse Manager.
  • May be asked to travel to perform uncleared escort duty at other MDA locations around the world (rare cases)

Specific Skills and Requirements

Required:

  • Holds an active DOD Secret level security clearance
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Has experience operating electronic pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Has experience with driving a range of vehicles from cargo vans to 26’ box trucks.
  • Willing and able to provide excellent customer service to the workforce, keeping a positive attitude, and taking pride and ownership of this position.

Desired:

  • Has experience working with moving equipment, i.e. hand trucks, carts, appliance dollies.
  • Has the ability to work well with others on a daily basis to help ensure that all customer needs and requests are satisfactorily met.
  • Possess strong problem-solving, decision-making, and data interpretation skills.

Education and Experience (Required)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Has 5 or more years of experience in a customer service based field.
  • Has 5 or more years of experience in a logistics based field.
