SUMMARY

We are seeking a qualified candidate for an Administrative Professional – Technical Support to provide expertise to the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) to assist in developing environmental program requirements. The Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), headquartered in San Antonio, TX, is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition and program management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide.

 

We are looking for an Administrative Professional – Technical Support to support the U.S. Air Force’s Environmental Restoration Account (ERA) planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) process commonly referred to as Program Requirements Development (PRD).

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide specialized advisory and assistance (A&AS) support services to the Air Force, including:

Specialized technical support for the U.S. Air Force ERA planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) process commonly referred to as PRD.

Assist Technical Leads in tracking project requirements development schedules through initial phases of developing environmental program requirements documents.

Works closely with cost estimators and technical leads during QA/QC of Program Adjustment Requests (PARs).

Assists in the updating and revising of environmental program documents as required.

Actively communicates program status to maintain schedules for document completion.

Assists in organizing and packaging of audit files.

Monitor and Manage Workflow Inbox for PAR submissions.

Enter PAR information into central tracker list.
 

Key Skills

  • Strong attention to detail for various QA/QC responsibilities
  • Experience in conflict resolution/moderation
  • Knowledge in M.S. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience in environmental restoration and DoD program planning preferred
  • Experience working in a highly dynamic team environment
  • Good organizational skills and excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines

 

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

  • No supervisory/management authority.

 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geography, Business Management or related field.
  • 1+ Years of Related Experience.
  • Experience in the use of all M.S. Office applications.
  • Some Project Management experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office environment, Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week
