SUMMARY

The Procurement Technician shall provide administrative support to all acquisition operations of the organization. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Performing file management of contract files; electronically and physically
  • Conducting acquisition tasking management by documenting, tracking, researching, fact-finding, developing answers and executing communication to required organizations for applicable taskings
  • Assist with developing, updating, and maintaining local acquisition policies, procedures and operating guidelines
  • Reviewing local policies, procedures and guidance to check for compliance with higher level authoritative guidance
  • Maintaining a list of all contracts, actions and associated data for the organization
  • Assisting and conducting tasks associated with the Manager’s Internal Control Program (MIC-P), the Annual Statement of Assurance, and other reporting requirements
  • Assist with conducting and documenting internal audits and inspections on contracting operations
  • Perform clerical, procurement administration and other roles in support of the acquisition team for pre and post contract award management

 

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

  • This position has no supervisory and management authority.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • High School Diploma required
  • At least two years (2) within the past ten (10) years’ work dealing with federal government contracts
  • Some knowledge, training and experience with the FAR and/or other federal procurement regulations, policies and acquisition processes
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, AFARS, and other DoD procurement regulations and policies
  • Experience and knowledge with computers and applications like Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook
  • Basic experience with SPS/PD2 and Army web based Paperless Contract File (PCF) is highly desirable

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work will be performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment
  • May require occasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 lbs
