SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Serve as the primary POC for the USAID customer for all matters pertaining to the management of a geographically distributed contract.
  • Obtain all internal corporate approvals required for decisions that impact performance of the contract
  • Recruit, vet, and hire staff to perform technical requirements of USAID
  • Oversee and manage the Time Duty Yonder (TDY) requirements of a diverse, geographically distributed team of consultants and personnel resources
  • Oversee, manage, and report on monthly invoicing, documentation, adhering to FAR, and AIDAR standards.
  • Review and comment on all project deliverables to ensure suitability for submission to the customer
  • Oversee development of and management of project budgets.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

  • Direct Manager of all staff and holds supervisory responsibility to customer and internal corporate leadership

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Candidates MUST BE US CITIZENS
  • Candidates are required to have at the time of their hiring a valid US Passport whose expiration date is at least one year from the start date.
  • Five years of management experience preferably in the US Federal Government in one or more of the following fields: personnel/performance management; demonstrated management and supervision of staff; and/or experience in setting up management, administrative, and financial functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in the fields of International Relations, Business Administration, Finance and Accounting.
  • Candidates will be subject to a US federal government background investigation and must favorably pass a drug screen

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be available to meet with Government on a regular basis, as defined by customer
  • Must have familiarity with managing staff with multiple Time Duty Yonder (TDY) assignments and foreign travel
  • Must have familiarity with USAID missions.
  • Must have experience with FAR and AIDAR standards.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work will be in a controlled and secured office environment in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area and/or when travelling in a USAID field office and/or the US Embassy in countries where USAID has a mission established.
  • Possible domestic and international travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Candidates will be required to remain for extended periods in domestic and international security lines.
