Perform fitting of assembly to be welded. Assemblies are of different material type including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. Selects appropriate welding type for the job; mig, tig, or stick welding. Adjust settings on welding machines to perform weld and makes adjustments as needed. Follows established quality and safety standards.

No supervisory responsibility. Routine assignments received with set guidelines, organizes own work, and sets own priorities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings and technical descriptions. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions and must be able to use an inventory system. Interpersonal skills; patience; problem solving skills; attention to detail; organization skills; accuracy; time management; basic math skills.
